Lost property

Lost property is generally handed in at a local police station, where it is logged. Items are then forwarded to the Transport for London Lost Property Office at:

200 Baker Street, London, NW1 5RT.

Please allow at least 24 hrs before enquiring.

Customers may if they wish, write to the above address or complete a lost property enquiry form (available from any Police Station). Details may also be faxed on 020 7918 1028. Additionally, you may visit the office in person between 09:00 and 14:00 Mondays to Fridays. There is a telephone enquiry service available on 020 7918 2000 between 09.00 - 16.00 hours Mondays to Fridays.

All lost property enquiry forms state that customers will only be contacted if an item matching the description given is handed in. Customers who wish to receive a response whether it has been found or not, are advised to enclose a stamped addressed envelope. A restoration charge is payable based on the value of the item.
